In the centre – an image of a little tiger lying in a wicker basket and playing with a ball of wool,
coloured with a pad printing. Around the edge – a stylized inscrption: YEAR OF THE TIGER / 2010
(the year which, accordingly to the Chinese Zodiac, is dedicated to the Year of the Tiger).
The central part of the coin depicts the Head of the Queen Elizabeth II. Above it, a semicircular
inscription, ELIZABETH II NIUE ISLAND. Below it, a nominal value of the coin, 1 Dollar, and a year
of issue, 2009. The Mint’s mark, MW, under the Head of the Queen Elizabeth II, on the right.
